Hands That Can Do Exhibition, Lyndon House Arts Center
Ebony Stitchers is an "active" organization. We are creating the "buzz" to bring awareness to our artistic activities and generate interest in our craft. In our community, we are known for active participation in the Arts. We work with community organizations like the National Black Arts Festival and the Fulton County Arts Center, we work with our local DeKalb County library to inspire creativity by conducting free quilt classes and we help implement free community programs in cooperation with other Quilt Guilds. We are active and involved!
Our current programs and activities include:
-NBAF Preview Event Thursday, May 24, 2012, Ebony Stitchers will provide a preview of quilts. Its an opening NBAF event to celebrate the upcoming festival.
-Quilt Exhibition - West Hampton Long Island, New York Paulette Strain, Ebony Stitcher will conduct a lecture and quilting demonstration.
-A Book Publication - Artistic Expressions of Quilters of Color
