Description:

This lecture focuses on the basics of piecing and quilting by hand, beginning with cutting your pattern, hand piecing your fabric and hand quilting.  Quilter Lynette S. Jackson will share examples of her work, demonstrating various techniques and also show how she has used techniques in traditional quilts. Lynette will share her piecing and quilting techniques and give tips to those who want to work by hand.  This is a lecture/ demonstration.  No materials are necessary.  Join a fellow fabric-holic as she gives tips on hand piecing and hand quilting. 

Lynette S. Jackson is an accomplished hand quilter whose work has been shown in several quilting arenas, including: the East Cobb Quilt Show, Bulloch Hall's Quilt Show, the Georgia National State Fair, and the International Quilt Festival in Houston.
